Gulls Sign Brett Pollock to Professional Tryout
The left wing averaged almost a point-per-game with Allen (ECHL)
Dec 21, 2019The San Diego Gulls announced today the club signed left wing Brett Pollock to a professional tryout (PTO).
Pollock, 23 (3/17/96), scored 9-18=27 points with 22 penalty minutes (PIM) in 29 games this season with the Allen Americans of the ECHL, ranking second on the club in scoring and assists. The 6-3, 194-pound forward has appeared in 102 career AHL games with the Stockton Heat, recording 14-19=33 points and 41 PIM from 2016-19.
Selected by the Dallas Stars in the second round (45th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft, Pollock recorded 24-34=58 points and 36 PIM in 90 career ECHL games with Allen and the Adirondack Thunder. A native of Regina, Saskatchewan, Pollock earned 89-110=199 points with a +52 rating in 253 games with the Edmonton Oil Kings of the Western Hockey League from 2012-16, including a Memorial Cup championship in 2014.
