It wasn’t the start to the road trip the San Diego Gulls wanted, as they fell 4-0 to the San Jose Barracuda Wednesday morning at Tech CU Arena.
Despite the setback, the Gulls still hold an 11-5-1-1 record since the AHL All-Star break and sit nine points out of the final playoff position in the Pacific Division.
Oscar Dansk kept the score respectable, as the veteran netminder stopped 32 shots in the contest. The game also saw the Gulls debut of forward Carsen Twarynski, who was acquired last week from the Abbotsford Canucks.
The Gulls will now head to Henderson for a pair of matchups with the Silver Knights at Lee’s Family Forum beginning Friday night (6 p.m. PDT).
