The San Diego Gulls are home at last, ready and eager to face off against the San Jose Barracuda (5 p.m. PST; TV: AHLTV on FloHockey; Radio: Gulls Audio Network).

San Diego won against the Coachella Valley Firebirds last night, 5-3. This is San Diego’s first victory over Coachella in five contests so far this season.

"We're hungry," said head coach Matt McIlvane. "That's it. We're in a playoff push right now. We have room to make up. Every moment means everything to us right now. So, we have to start fast. There's really no other option. It was a lot of good in the game."

The Gulls and Barracuda have split this season split so far. In their last meeting on New Year’s Day, San Jose was victorious in overtime.

San Diego is ready to use the momentum from their victories on the road and show San Jose what they’re made of tonight.

"We'll come back home, try and get a good sleep," said Nathan Gaucher. "We play our fourth game in six days, so just trying to keep things simple. [Tonight], we're at home in our crowd so it's going to be a good game."

San Diego once again will challenge the Abbotsford Canucks this Wednesday at Pechanga Arena (7 p.m. PST).
