The San Diego Gulls hit the road one last time in the 2024-25 season for their final matchup of the season against the Ontario Reign tonight at Toyota Arena (7 p.m. PDT; TV: AHLTV on FloHockey; Radio: Gulls Audio Network).

San Diego will look to get back on track tonight after taking a tough 4-0 loss to Henderson Wednesday night at home. With two games left to play, the team is looking to end on a high note.

"There’s two hockey games left, and we don't want to forget that we've played a lot of great hockey this season," assistant coach Kris Sparre said after Wednesday’s game. "99% of the time we’re a team that at least competes hard, and didn't think we did that tonight, and I don't think our puck play gave us a chance to do that. So, let's wake up tomorrow, find what we did right in the game and hopefully be able to turn the page and rewrite the script on Friday and Saturday."

The Gulls have had success over their rivals from the Inland Empire this season, going 4-3-0-0 so far in the season series. A win tonight would give them a big confidence boost with a season series win over an Ontario team that currently sits in second in the Pacific.

"What we want to see is our brand of hockey the last two games, and so we can go into the summer and feel real good about at least what we accomplished in the back half of the season," Sparre said.

The Gulls will return home for the final game of the 2024-25 season tomorrow night at Pechanga Arena when they face the Coachella Valley Firebirds during Fan Appreciation Night (6 p.m. PDT).
