San Diego Feeling Lucky For Round Two with Milwaukee

It’s Saturday and the San Diego Gulls are ready to sham-rock the ice.
After an electric performance Friday night against the Milwaukee Admirals, the Gulls are back in action and looking for luck in tonight’s Saturday Showdown as they take on the Admirals for night two at Pechanga Arena San Diego (6 p.m. PST).
The St. Patrick’s Day inspired-evening will feature a Gulls-themed Scally Cap giveaway for the first 8,000 fans in attendance to cheer on the Gulls, who will sport special St. Patrick’s Day-inspired jerseys on the ice. The San Diego Gulls Foundation will host a game-worn jersey raffle and a special themed Surprise Puck sale. It all kicks off with a pregame tailgate in the North VIP lot from 4-6 p.m.
Friday night’s battle at Pechanga Arena saw offensive momentum swing toward the Gulls early, creating energy that ultimately sealed the 5-3 victory for San Diego, marking their second win of three games of the season-series.
Chase De Leo netted two goals on the evening, along with an assist.
Nikita Nesterenko, Andrew Agozzino and Glenn Gawdin each recorded a goal at the contest.
Tonight, the teams reconvene to settle their fate in the final stand.
"We need everyone, from top to bottom," De Leo said. "When you’re out there, we know what our job is, and it’s every guy. That’s what’s great about having a team sport, you got all your brothers out there with you. We’ve got to trust each other and know we’re all going to do our job."
Backed by their lucky fans at Pechanga Arena, the Gulls step into the last showdown of their six-game homestand in high spirits, looking to replicate that offensive energy from Friday night and extend their streak at home to three consecutive wins.
After tonight, San Diego gears up for their first game away from home since the first of the month as they faceoff with the San Jose Barracuda on Wednesday, Mar. 20 (10:30 a.m. PST) at Tech CU Arena.
