The San Diego Gulls will host the Henderson Silver Knights tonight at Pechanga Arena for the penultimate home game of San Diego’s 2024-25 American Hockey League season (7 p.m. PDT; TV: AHLTV on FloHockey; Radio: Gulls Audio Network).
San Diego is fresh off a nail-biting win on Sunday that saw Roland McKeown score with eight seconds on the clock to force overtime and Nico Myatovic pot the overtime winner to take down the Coachella Valley Firebirds 4-3 at Acrisure Arena.
With the season coming to a close, the Gulls locker room has been tighter than ever to finish the season out strong.
"We still play with pride," right wing Yegor Sidorov said. "Doesn’t matter if we make [playoffs] or not. Unfortunately, we didn’t. Now we have to build for next year, so we have to play with pride every single game."
A familiar face will join the Gulls for the rest of the season, as defenseman Konnor Smith was added to the roster yesterday. Smith skated in six games for the Gulls last season and signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Anaheim Ducks after his season with Brampton ended this weekend.
The Gulls will close out the season with a back-to-back, beginning Friday night against the Ontario Reign at Toyota Arena (7 p.m. PDT).
