Gulls Come Up Short Against Colorado

The San Diego Gulls wrapped up their road trip this afternoon with a 5-3 loss to the Colorado Eagles, the second of back-to-back contests.
Although this may not have been the ideal result for San Diego, today’s game did not come without some major milestones.
Nico Myatovic scored his first career AHL goal to close out the second period, assisted by Pavol Regenda and Nikita Nesterenko.
Sasha Pastujov netted two goals, making this his second multi-goal game of the season. He now has points in three straight games (3-1=4).
A few days off comes at the perfect time for the Gulls, as they played four games in six days on the road this week.
"We’ve got a lot of guys who played a lot of minutes," said head coach Matt McIlvane. "It’s a good chance to reset the bodies and minds. The story can still be written here moving forward."
After their holiday break, the San Diego Gulls will fly home to face the Ontario Reign on Friday, Dec. 27 (7 p.m. PST).
