The San Diego Gulls are ready to take a crack at the Colorado Eagles tonight for First Responders Night (6 p.m. PST; TV: AHLTV on FloHockey; Radio: Gulls Audio Network).
Last week, San Diego saw three more wins against San Jose and Ontario. The Gulls now stand at a record of 23-25-5-3, and are currently five points out of the final playoff slot in the Pacific.
The Gulls have proven time and time again that they’re able to work hard and come back stronger every game.
"We're happy with that, but at the same time, coming back from the All-Star break, we knew it was going to be an uphill battle," said Justin Bailey. "We're happy with what we've done, but our mentality is focused on the next game. The next game is the most important, and every game going down the stretch is going to be huge for us. And it's exciting. I'm really happy to be a part of it, and it's a lot of fun playing these games."
Tonight marks the Gulls’ first game back after a well-deserved, six-day break. The team is ready to keep their wins coming in the pursuit of postseason hockey.
San Diego and Colorado face off tonight at 7 p.m. before returning tomorrow for their second contest of the back-to-back (6 p.m. PST).
