The San Diego Gulls are set to face the Tucson Roadrunners for the fourth time this season at Tucson Convention Center Arena tonight (5:30 p.m. PST; TV: AHLTV on FloHockey; Radio: Gulls Audio Network).
Tonight’s matchup is the first of four games that the Gulls will play in six days. After two games against the Roadrunners in Tucson, they will head to Colorado for two contests against the Eagles.
"It's a push, but it's a push for everyone," said head coach Matt McIlvane. "It's to sprint to the finish here before the break."
San Diego has gone 1-2-0-0 in the season's series against the Roadrunners so far. After their most recent win against the San Jose Barracuda, they are planning to continue their string of successes which has seen them earn points in five straight contests (4-0-0-1).
"I think we stick to our plan," said Tristan Luneau. "When we're rolling, there's not a lot of thinking, everyone's at the right spot and finishing checks, and we create opportunities for ourselves."
The San Diego Gulls face the Roadrunners tonight, and again on Wednesday evening at 5:30 pm PST.
