Daniel Sprong recorded his first multi-point game of the season, as eleven skaters found the scoresheet.
Rookie Isac Lundestrom broke a 4-4 tie in the third period, scoring his first professional AHL goal. After dropping a pass to Pietila, the rookie dashed to the far post, deflecting his teammate's pass into the back of the net.
“It was a long time coming,” said Pietila on the win. “But like I said, bounces can go your way and they can not go your way. It was one of those nights where we played a 60-minute game. Every guy contributed today and hopefully we will be able to do the same tomorrow.”
